Servoy Quickstart Training Sessions
Adrian McGilly will be teaching Servoy Quickstart classes on the following dates (2008):
      • April 21 - 24
      • July 7 - 10

Classes will be 4 half-days from 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM PST - a total of 12 hours of training

This intensive, hands-on, 12-hour course will introduce attendees to the Servoy architecture and all the key concepts required to start building your first Servoy solutions. There will be an opportunity to develop and deploy a small business solution in class, providing hands-on experience with all of the following areas of Servoy:
      • Overview of the Servoy architecture
      • Creating and connecting to databases
      • Defining columns & tables
      • Understanding foundsets & related foundsets
      • Creating and using relations
      • Designing forms, tabpanels, portals
      • Creating data navigation controls and form navigation controls
      • Searching for records
      • Validating user-entered data before saving
      • Writing Servoy methods for searching, editing, navigating and validating data
      • Designing for the Web Client vs. the Java Client
      • Overview of the Servoy Server Admin Console & Solution Deployment
      • Tips & techniques for speeding up development

Course is fully interactive, delivered via WebEx. Includes full two-way audio and full two-way screen sharing/controlling for all Mac, Windows & Linux users. Ccourse materials provided include a course outline and a comprehensive training workbook. A toll-free number is provided for callers in all countries except as noted below*.
